Cold Springs Campground
This is the Cold Springs campground. It has several hiking trails and pit toilets. There is a fantastic nature hike with signs that identify the local plants. It follows a stream to the main trailhead in mineral king.
Atwell Mill Campground
This is the Atwell Mill campground. It gets really cold at night even in the summer. Be sure to bring a good jacket and some hot chocolate. Several hiking trails start at the campsite and there is some old machinery to look at in addition to the beautiful trees. In the fall there are wild currants and elderberries. Ask a local how to identify them before you try eating the local flora.

Silver City General Store
This is the general store in Silver City. It is a ten minute drive or less from the campsites and hiking trails in Mineral King. They have absolutely fantastic pie and a limited selection of snacks and camping supplies. They also have cabins for rent. I have seen deer walk past their parking lot several times while eating there.
